Studio Location

We have recently moved to a new studio which has been custom built for our very own specific needs. It is located within a small complex of 200 year old converted barns in the picturesque Rettendon Village. Our address is:

12 to 18 Management Ltd
The Barns,
Old Hall Farm,
Main Road,
Rettendon Common,
CM3 8DN.

The best way to get to us is by car. You can approach from one of two directions, the most likely of which is from the A130 coming off at the Rettendon Turnpike junction. At the Turnpike roundabout you want to take the road to Rettendon and East Hanningfield. After a short while you will enter the Rettendon Village. Drive through the village, past the school on the right, and out the other side where you will enter the 40mph zone. Don't speed up though because we are only 200 metres on the left.

It is possible to approach us from the opposite direction as detailed above driving along the old A130 from Howe Green, and through Rettendon Common. In this case as you approach Rettendon Village just before you get to the 30mph zone we are on the right.

On arrival there are two sets of large metal black electronic gates. If you're coming from the Turnpike roundabout you want the second set. If you're coming from Rettendon Common you want the first set. Be aware they are more difficult to spot from this direction! Turn in towards the gates and if the gates are shut stop on the short uphill driveway and either call us or use the buzzer on the gate which is labelled 12 to 18. We will then come and let you in. Please be aware the gates and subsequent car park are a few seconds from the studio so it will take a short while to get to you to open them. For those arriving for group shoots we may well have someone on the gate ready to open it for you.

Rettendon does not have a train station, however there are three that are within a few miles. Which ever one you choose you will need to get a taxi to complete the rest of your journey. The nearest station is Battlesbridge however this station is very small and does not have a great taxi service. The other two are Wickford and South Woodham Ferrers. Distance wise there isn't much advantage between the two, however Wickford has a much better train service and more easily available taxi service. Taxi fares can vary so our advice is to contact one of the local taxi firms and get a quote before you travel this way.

Unfortunately Rettendon is a very small village and although there is a bus service that runs through the village it's not very frequent. We wouldn't recommend travelling this way.
